 On September 10, British BBC Radio 3 announced its “New Generation Artists” of 2014-2016, six artists from the world. One of these artists is Armenian cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan. According to Radio 3 these musicians are the stars of tomorrow.

“New Generation Artists” launched in the autumn of 1999. Every autumn six or seven artists or groups who are on the threshold of an international career are invited to join the scheme, which offers them unique opportunities to have  concerts in London and around the UK,  studio recordings for Radio 3, participation in  Britain's most prominent festivals, including Cheltenham and Edinburgh International Festival.

Narek Hakhnazaryan was born in 1988. In 2000 he moved to Russia, where he continued his education. Narek graduated from  Moscow Conservatory and became a prominent musician.  He played with  famous orchestras and with conductors such as V. Spivakov, J. Mester, V. Georgiev, M. Yurovski, and others.  He is the winner of many international competitions.
