Kotikyan Arman (15(27).9.1896, Trabzon-3.10.1968, Yerevan)-Armenian actor, poet and translator. People’s artist of Armenian SSR (1967). Kotikyan graduated fromArman Kotikyan acting Sur ("Paghtasar aghbar" by H. Paronyan) Sorbonne University (1925).  He worked in the Armenian National Theater in Paris, and then in 1932 he founded Armenian national Theater.  From 1936 he acted in the theater after Gabriel Sundukyan in Yerevan. Arman Kotikyan was a comic actor, he was famous with his unique humour and expressive mimics. Among his roles are Ogsen, Manuk agha (“Paghtasar aghbar” by H. Paronyan), Ben Akiba (“Uriel Acosta” by Gutskov). He was in such films, as “01-99” (1959), “Guys from the Army Band” (1960), “Tjvjik” (1961), “Karine” (1967). He was the author of “Smoking Lilies”, he translated “Cyrano de Bergerac” by E. Rostand.
